Get something that brings back memories or inside jokes for my brother I got him wooden spoons, a locker and antibacterial hand soap. Walmart has some gift packages. Also this site has some really good ideas: http://www.gifts.com/

Open your eyes whenever you visit them. Find something around the house that seems prominent. For instance, my boyfriend's mother loves to put up Christmas trees and has two of them. So, I went to a specialty store and bought a gorgeous, original orniment. I also purchased some festive ribbon candy and liquor chocolates. Your present doesn't have to be big, but try to be thoughtful. If they love old movies, buy them a classic that they don't have. If they love food, a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.

This is kind of weird but my family always gets together with my brother's in laws at some point and they LOVE scratch off lottery tickets so we always get them a nice card and $20 worth of tickets. They may not be into that but maybe a card and a nice poinsetta plant when you go over for the home.

Its too late to post them anything unless you are planning to visit them. But anything you take from the West is bound to go down a treat with them. I am talking about chocolates, a nice food hamper, something for the home though electrical goods not a good idea due to the voltage difference. Clothing is another idea.
