He seems to posture a lot to appeal to those voters, but what has he actually accomplished for them?

He gave them a "Conservative Supreme Court" who have no intention of overturning Roe v. Wade.. If the Republicans did the things they promised their base, they'd have no "causes" to rile up their voters about, no Crusades to rally the troops with. They will NEVER do the things they say they are going to do, they never intended to.

Actually nothing. He has used them to get elected - twice. But if you check out what he and his VP say, I would think the religious right would be furious with them. Cheney called them "crazies." For goodness sake, isn't that enough?

Well, there have been the many bans on gay marriage and restrictions on abortions. He also believes that "God put him into the White House" and some say that he "talks to God." I believe that that is about the worst thing I have ever heard someone who calls themselves "Christians" ever said.

Have you not heard about Bush's "Faith Based Initiatives"? Look it up. If you are not Christian, these "initiatives" are pretty unethical and throw separation of Church and State right out the window.

He himself has done nothing, but the religious right supports him because they think that they should, since he supposedly supports "moral values." I think that they need to realize that blindly voting for the most idiotic, conservative candidate is not the will of God.

Bush has done nothing for the Religious Right. He's pandered to them to get votes, but he's stayed more to where a Republican such as myself would like him to say, and thats fiscal conservative and strong on national security. I'm glad he didn't go fundi on us
