i want to make seperate music folders on my ipod(i have the new pink nano).. ex
1:rock music
2:pop
3:rap
etc... can you do that on your ipod? if yes, then how? thanks!

I believe if you organize it in Itunes this way, it transfers to your iPod in that way. At least I think that's how mine did it. I organized mine in Itunes, hooked it up and everything transferred over. Separating the folders how I had them in the computer.

Well, you can do this in a number of ways. The way I find easiest is to make new playlists in iTunes for each category you wish to have, then add the music to those playlists. However, you can also sort the music by genre as well. Basically, whatever works best for you is the best way to do it.

Yes you can. When you download music into your itunes it it catagorized in genres ex. rock, rap, or hip hop. On your ipod, go to music, then to genres. Your music should automatically be seperated there like folders.

if you make playlists on your computer in itunes, they show up on your ipod. but also you can play music based on the genre, so you might be able to just go under genre and pick which ever you want to listen to. i'm not so sure about that though, cuz i don't do it.

Go to Itunes and change your settings to "manage your folder manually." This allows you to make the changes you want. Specifically what you mentioned.

you can you just need to make them playlists. so under playlists in Itunes.. just click the little plus sign at the bottom on the window and name them. and then just click and drag the songs you want there. so when you go to your ipod. go music>playlists>"rock"

On itunes click on file when it's plugged in and then make your folders

you go into settings and do make folder,but theres an easier way you go on limewire save the folder but name it and download them on your i-pod and then take the thing out and it will be on there

I want that so bad for Christmas sorry that this has nothing to do with that I just couldn't leave it in my system I had to get it out!
