there are plenty of uses' just imagine you could flatten pop cans make pancakes. crush your enemy or wife. endless uses for this amazing piece of equiptment

I assume you are referring to the diesel powered rollers that are used to compact the roadways. Steam power stopped being used by the 1920's.
Potential uses:
Recycling metals
Pressing jojoba beans for oil
Compacting last weeks trash to fit in the can
Preparing oranges for juice
As a boat anchor.
