If you wake up, collect a sample, and use your first morning urine later on in the day, will / could it make the test wrong ? Im a state trooper, and in SWAT training, so I cant take a test right away...NO time.....I can collect it, and use it on my downtime....(break)........... Any advise ?

There is no time....Believe me.....Its like boot-camp ! I figured if I put it in a med bottle, and in my duffle, I could use it later.

Can I still use pee that's been sitting in a cup for several hours? hCG (pregnancy hormone) does break down and dissipate from urine once it leaves the body. It has a half-life of 24 hours, meaning the total amount will be cut in half for every day it sits out. If you are testing very early when only a small amount of hCG is present to begin with, that half might make a difference (for example, 25 mIU/mL of hCG will be detected with any early pregnancy test. By the time that pee sits out for a day, it has only 12.5 mIU/mL left, and only a very sensitive test may detect it.)
However, most women aren't peeing in cups and leaving it around for days; most women just want to save their FMU (or other concentrated urine) to be used later in the day (may need to purchase an HPT, want to wait for darling dearest to get home from work, may pee in a cup out of preference and then get distracted by a toddler doing a serious number on the poor kitty before you get the chance to dip the test, etc. All very common scenarios.) A few hours is unlikely to make a serious difference in the amount of hCG in your urine, so it's fine to use older pee. Putting your pee in the fridge will also slow the breakdown of the hormone, but I will disavow all knowledge of this suggestion in the event that your husband is grossed out by its proximity to his leftover pizza.

I think I remember the box saying the urine is supposed to be less than 1 hour old. Consult the instructions for the test you buy to be sure.
I don't understand why you can't do the test while in SWAT training? Surely you get time to pee and take a shower when you first get up in the morning? There are tests where you literally just take the stick out of the wrapper and pee on the window. Then wait 3 to 5 minutes. Can't you just hang out in the stall while you are waiting for the results?

You should be able to test anytime of day, too. Honestly, it takes no time to do a test. In the morning, pee on the stick and walk away. Check the results in 3 minutes. You just look at it...2 lines pg, one line not. I don't see why you couldn't use the urine later in the day, either. Just suggestions. Good luck!!

I don't think I would risk it (tests are expensive) I have found that it really doesn't matter what time of day you test. When I was trying to get pregnant, I tested every morning (using an "early pregnancy test") from six days before I was suppose to get my period until the day after and they all came back negative. Then the next night (two days late) I tested before bed and it was positive.

Take a test with you into a bathroom and just pee on it. As long as you get enough urine it only takes 1-3 minutes. I don't think you can store it. If all else fails go to the doctor and have them do it.

It doesn't matter if you use your morning urine or evening urine. pee is pee! So, instead of having to try to do it that way, just take a test in your down time, or go to the clinic. Either way, if you suspect you are pregnant, your Instructor can not deny you any medical treatment.

In my experience the first morning urine is not really all that it is cracked up to be. If you test negative and still feel that you may be pregnant in a week try it again... and you don't have to buy the epensive ones either.. the Equate brand from Wal-Mart works great!

the morning sample is only preferable because it is most concentrated .you can do the test anytime just don't drink a lot of water or go to the bathroom for a couple of hours before you do the test
