I need a good cd for my sister who has been through alot. I need like rock music but that has clear words that she can hear. Or a good country cd with good words that she can hear and maybe sing along. A cd she will cherish even after months.

Be careful with Country CD's. Some of the songs tend to make us (women) even more tearful/hurt/depressed. I myself call them beer drinking/tear dripping songs. Make her a classic rock cd with like Bob Segar, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Kiss, Motley Cruz, that should help her more than the Country CD. Good Luck!

Anything by The Eagles [my answer to anything music].
There is even a CD that has country music stars doing covers of the Eagles hit songs.
If you want to cheer her up and make her sing along to the tunes, Jimmy Buffett's CD "Songs You Know by Heart".

James Taylor is another great one. Go for one of the "greatest hits" ones, always a sure bet.

I've always been a fan of Alison Krauss. She reminds me of an angel, the way she sings.
On another note a cd I would recommend for someone who needs a smile and a warm, happy feeling is the album : "Moondance" by Van Morrison. It's amazing!!!

Very extensive, however permit me to wager your Dad's age and make a few strategies. If you have not already received them, then check out: Buffalo Springfield Gram Parsons Poco Eagles (too visible, I consider you may have received them already) Pure Prairie League Crosby, Stills & Nash / Neil Young (see Eagles, above) Loggins & Messina America (I hate them, however nonetheless...) Flying Burrito Brothers Townes van Zandt (extra acoustic) Stephen Stills solo paintings (check out "Treetop Flyer") The Band (hinder "The Weight", it is too popular. They have many others, e.g. "Up On Cripple Creek") Wilco (extra ultra-modern) Jason & The Scorchers (unknown band, nation-punk. A lot of a laugh. Try their first album) Uncle Tupelo The Long Ryders The Amazing Rhythm Aces Rick Nelson & the Stone Canyon Band I desire that is helping. Let us understand if you want exact songs by way of those artists.
