It depends on the particular med school. Usually, they want around a year of physics and bio, 2 of chem, and then possibly a variety of other non-science courses so you're "well-rounded". You should check the website of each medical school you're interested in.

Don't know about america but in the Uk you would need to study: Biology, Chemistry, Maths and/or Physics..
