I opened Computer Management under Control Panel->Admin Tools. Went into Disk Management and was trying to recover unallocated disk space. In the process, by mistake I deleted a partition. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation dialog that comes up when you delete. I would like to recover that partition that was deleted. Is there a way to do so?

Unfortunately, System restore states that the restore point does not contain references to the partitions that were deleted. I guess I will have to to a 3rd party tool.

If you want to recover the data on the deleted partition, then download and run a program called Restoration. The following two articles detail on its use

If you are talking about the primary partition , you can't even boot up your computer if you deleted it, but if you are talking about other partition, there is soft ware for that like partition magic, partition manager, super Fdisk, partition recovery. all those soft ware can recover the partition, but how good is the data after recovery, I do not know if it is all good or some data is corrupted.
