To make any car run better you have to increas the "volumetric efficiancy" which means getting more air in to the engine to mix with the fuel and burn better, the next problem you have is to get the exhaust gases out quicker. The induction kit will make the car sound louder and may give you a 2-3 hp increas thats all, sometimes they cause more problems than they cure you need to look at all things in the engine are compression, air intake, fuel delivery, exhaust gases, ignition your on the right road but you need to look at things like fuel boost valves, low blow turbos ( 1990's vauxhall diesel tirbo) inter coolers etc i would personally look at some of the vauxhall customzing sites in the uk just look on yahoo or googel and type in corsa modifications, you can do loads even to the extreme of dropping a 2.0L engine and box in if you have the time and money

Sorry Leanne the 1200 engine is not a fav orite with tuners .The head is useless . You can transplant a 1600 instead but more insurance cost may rule that out .Induction kits only do so much but
give no excitement .You could try another brand of petrol like Shell v power for extra power but not much .I drive opels all the time so I know what works .Dont waste good money save for bigger car later .cheers

The filter will help the car breath a little bit better. The difference would be like driving home with 8 2l bottles of coke in the back and then take them out and go for a drive.

Changing the plugs and leads doesn't increase horsepower, it just reclaims the ones lost through aging with cables and plugs.

for starters this car does not have plug leads it has a coil pack - so that's them out - it also has a unit called an air flow meter. this is a sensor that measures the air flowing into the engine - it is very prone to breakage - an this is made worse by these shitty filters - if your are willing to pay out 150 quid every time this goes then fine - plugs might help with fuel economy - but not much extra power

The induction kit will make it sound louder so at least you will think you are going faster.

A good set of plugs and leads, on the other hand, may well improve the responsiveness on your motor. But not by much.

In engines that produce less than 250HP, a K&N air filter is simply a waste of money. Anyone telling you different is just trying to make a buck.

Upgrading of the plugs will do probably nothing except raise you fuel mileage a few. Bosch Platinums are best. I would upgrade to better tires next time around. THIS will make your car drive better.

Good luck!

Sorry but would make absolutely no difference whatsoever, it will still be a Corsa with a 1200cc engine in it. Why not save the money you want to spend on doing it up and by a proper car!!

It will just make you look like a fool when the tiny car makes more noise. Why not simply spend the money on more girlie pursuits?By that I mean put on shedloads of make up and a tiny skirt and lo cut top and go out teasing guys.

The difference would be insignificant.

You would be better off buying a car with a turbodiesel engine. These are easy to "chip", and for a modest outlay give large increases in power and torque.

Yes. It always helps to add more air and spark. Just don't look for and head snapping power change. It will probably not be very noticable.
