I am not sure about posting flyers, but I use the following companies to post press releases:

You can also publish free small business ads on Craigslist
You might want to consider creating a MySpace account just for your babysitting service, and put it on there.

what you really need is something local for you
try out craigslist.org they allow free ads and have a site for most of the major cities in the US

Check out backpage.com
and postaroo.com as well
and finally :-)

but you should have most luck with craigslist
