Well.. I finally ordered my inspiron with a Turion 64 MK-36 at 2.0Ghz, 1Gb of ram, 80Gb 5400 RPM, DVD-RW, and an ATI radeon xpress 1150 256 shared hypermemory.

Keep in mind that i dont use it for heavy gaming, just light gaming and schoolwork, internet, movies and music.

So... how would you rate it?

I think that the computer is a decent computer... i find mac's better but the computer has a good speed and 1gb of ram is good. dvd-rw is VERY useful and i made a gygantic mistake not getting it but trust me you are onna burn a lot of DVD's

its a good computer but it all depends on the price... i would say 1500 dollers or less would be a good price for the computer you baught

I sure hope nothing goes wrong with it. Dell has all of their customer (dis)service in India. So unless you speak Hindi, you are going to have to fight long and hard to find someone who speaks English well enough to fix any problems.

The other guy is right... It's a Dell enough said... they make junk and overcharge by about 125%. You should have gone with an HP from www.stupidcheapcomputers.net.

i think its decent for what your going to be using it for... just hope you don't get into the heavy gaming because then you will probably want to upgrade or buy another computer dedicated to gaming ... have fun with what you got!
