my boyfriend called me last night and he was acting strange over the phone, when he calls me he is always very cool to talk to but last night we where talking and he told me to shut the f*** up then he told me im just kidding i like to mess with you. then after that at the end of whole confersation he says i have to go and he doesn't hang up but then at the same time he doesn't say a word on the phone and i said i know your on the phone and still doesn't answer then i asked him how much did you smoke i asked him that twice and then he replied kyle smoked too much to talk and clicked he hanged up on me. after that whole thing i started to get mad and upset because he had never acted like that before and i just want to know what was rong so i can or we can talk about it. we have been friends for 5 years and i know him very well and he would not do what he did last night i just need some really good advice on what i should do because i am confused on what happened should i call him?

Try not to freak out. It seems like he may have smoked too much or something else? Is this a possibility for who he was hang out with? If so, that why.
If not, is something going on with him? Did something happen to him...between him and a friend/ an old friend/ an old girlfriend. This is a big possibility.
He may need some space before you talk to him. Let him know you care about him and want to know if something is up. Tell him you're here to talk to and would like to know what is going on.
Just be honest, but calm and not accusing.

First off: Breath deeply! No, not that deeply! Okay, he's been smoking ______? And he's been smoking too much and he told to (very impolitely even for someone who's stoned) be quiet. Sounds to me like maybe you should talk to his folks first. Yeah I know, rat the guy out, not too friendly sounding. You may be alerting them to something very serious however. Also, when you talk to him, make sure you're not alone, just to be safe.

I would call him ask him whay is going on. Then I would ask him who he was the phone with last night beside you.
