Is it possible?...well i guess it is because my doctor said I had it..and I've been very sick and my eye hurts a lot and the eye globe is swollen...has this ever happened to you?..any remedies to ease the pain and discomfort while the medicine works?...thanks!!!

Soak a washcloth in very warm water, and put the compress on your eye. Try not to rub it, although I know that is easier said than done. The warmth should provide some relief until your meds kick in. Good luck, I know that is no fun!

It is a viral infection. It will go away on its own. There are antiviral meds, but must be given before the virus gets out of hand.
