I was in elementary school when my best friend, Ruth Giles, hand painted a ceramic christmas tree with a mouse at the top holding the star in place. It has my name on the front and the date ( 1977) on the back. She is still one of the best friends I ever had. I look forward to placing the ornament she gave me on my tree each year and remembering her.

Its a little snow man my son made me when he was 6 at school. it looks like its sitting on Graham crackers nad its sooo cute! he obviously had help but it was from my baby so its on my tree every single year no matter what! Would not be Christmas without it!

My grandparents used to have two strings of Christmas lights - one set was Santa Claus-shaped lights and the others were red cardinal lights. Christmas just didn't seem the same after those two strings of lights quit working.
Also, my parents have a golden angel with my name engraved on it that they purchased for my first Christmas.

An old fashion ornament glass shaped like a bell, pink with silver sparkles. This item was my parents 1st Christmas ornament on their tree and I inherited it. Its now 50 years old.

My favorite is a small rockinghorse, made of glitter-gilded cardboard, with a string mane and a painted saddle. It was hung on my parents' tree every year since long before I was born, and hangs on my tree every year since my parents passed on. It's a special part of my family's Christmas, and has the magic of time and loving memory keeping it safe.

The kind you plug into the lights and spin around those are cute. My absolute fave though is my strawberry shortcake decoration from when I was a kid.

My dad has a tiny, stuffed elf that he's had since he was a kid. It sits on a branch in the middle of the tree.
