We have ALL seen it- that angular letter "S" that we used to draw on our school notebooks & see on walls on the streets. (at least in the cities)

You make it by drawing 3 lines next to each other then 3 more lines right under those, then connecting some of them to form a pointy, angular letter "S".

WHEN did that start??? Maybe someone over 40 (I'm 38) could give a bit of insight.

I remember seeing it back in the 70s as a kid, but it may go further back than that...

ok, i'm only 20, but i remember drawing that as a kid, and my grandma told me about her remembering that from when she was younger, probably in the 50s.

I have been in almost every major city in the U.S. in the sixties and now, but do not recall seeing that drawing.
