I live in WI and here are the prices I see. Prices vary where you live. East and West is a lot more expensive, here it is moderate.

Here are some prices from WI (feed and stall/pasture cleaning always included) --- $300+/month- indoor and outdoor arena, stalled at night, individual turnout (or small groups). $200-250/month- no stalls- outside shelter/pasture board only with use of an indoor and outdoor.
150-200/month- use of 1-2 large outdoor areas and outside pasture board w/shelter.

What do you mean by walking? Do they get turned out at all? Handwalking a horse usually increases the price a lot, while, at least where I live, daily turnout is a necessity. Do you have an indoor or outdoor arena?

Look at what you are offering and look at what stables around you are offering. Find one that is similar to yours in size and amenities and charge a price similar to that.
If you are the only stable in the area, you can charge more because there is no competition.
It is really hard to say unless you tell us where you live. I was looking at board in KY and for the same thing I am paying $330 a month here, I can get for $200 a month down there. In NY it was around $700-1000, I believe.

It depends on where you are in Mass. I was quoted $750 by someone in Massachusetts yesterday but they may be in less of a "high rent" district. What part of Mass are you in? Edit: Unfortunately, the closer you are to Boston, the more expensive the board. The $750 I got yesterday was in Bellingham. I will keep an eye out since I am looking for a trainer in the area right now. If I see something for a bit less, I will edit here. Edit: People, the Northeast is expensive. This isn't the heartland where land is relatively cheap and you can board for $100 a month. Add to that this is New England - where snow on the ground 6 months out the year is normal and big barns have indoor rings so people can ride year round. Sure, there is a small barn outside of Boston with cheaper board. Does it have an indoor? $1200 for board at a nice facility with an indoor near a major city in the Northeast isn't really out of the question. You'll pay $300 a month to park your car in downtown Boston...

Depends on where you live. Here in NYC, to board a horse is $500-$700 a month last I checked, so $200 to me is a real bargain!

If it includes all of his basic care (feeding, cleaning stall, walking), $200 doesn't sound like much. Best thing to do is see what other stables in the area are charging. It'll give you some idea of what a fair rate is.

It all depends on how much it is to get all of the stuff that the horses need. You should add all of the costs together and see how much it will be. Then, divide that number by a couple numbers you were thinking about charging people a month for board. Do you want to have just enough, or do you want to have a little extra on hand just in case something comes up. Where I ride, it is $240 a month for board. Good luck with everything!

This sounds like a great price to me!! Especially if the facilities are safe..that is the main thing you want to check out. Currently in KS, all $200 gets you is a junky pasture boarding. If the facilities and handlers are decent go for it!! Talk to some current boarders to get some inside tips on the barn

Depends on your location. You could always call around to other stables to find out what their rates are. In my area, rural Illinois, thats about average, since board seems to be between $125 for pasture only and $250 per month for stall board. In a suburb of Chicago, where I used to live, board ran about $450 per month, about 10 years ago.

it depends on the area and the facility. I pay around $400 for full board in Oklahoma City-but facilities without the indoor arenas etc go for around $300 for full board in an indoor barn,$200-250 for an outdoor paddock with full board, $175-$200 for pasture with feeding, and around $150 for self care pasture boarding.

I'm in California & you can't touch anything for under $15.00 a day in my area! Everything has a $5.00 minimum price for services rendered! Insurance ratres are high. How can you afford to charge so little?

I think it depends on your facilities. I pay $200, and that includes everything you mentioned and more. Indoor and outdoor riding areas, tack room, bathroom, lockers, etc....
