It will last about as long as a marriage between two heterosexual Christians-not very long.

Boy, don't know who you are talking with. I've never, in 60+ yrs, talked to anyone who wanted "To Marry Their Pet". Anyway, the bottom line, I believe in Scripture. God did not create Man and Man and tell them to go and populate the world. God created Adam and then Eve, from Adam. For josh sake, just look at man vs woman. Its so obvious man and woman were created to love each other, have intimate relations, and bring life into the world. This is why the Christian world believes a marriage is ONLY between a man and a woman. However, the Christians I know don't have a problem if two people of the same sex want to have a relationship. That's their right and its none of my business. Just don't try to pretend its a relationship God created or intended. That simply has no credibility. If you are not a Christian then I can see why you would think any type of relationship could lead to a type of marriage. Just don't expect Christians to have the same view.

My wife and I have a gay couple as very close family friends. They have been together for over 30 years. And yes, they are both Christian. They are also stinking rich from working in Real Estate!
It just stuns me how many gay-bashers think gay marriage will only fail, and will 'taint the sanctity of marriage' in this country. Like the HETEROSEXUAL divorce rate in this country being over 60% is NOT hurting the sanctity of marriage?

I was a member of a gay couples dinner group.
2 years ago we celebrated 4 anniversaries one month. A 50 year, a 35 year and two 25 year.
I think worshiping together gives the relationship a much better chance at long term survival.

Hey, don_juan are you ignorant about the part of the bible that says judge not lest ye be judged?
Gay marriges will last the same way straight marriges last. Some will be for 50 years and some for 2 months.

In those states that have allowed gay marriage in the past five years, the rate of divorce amongst gay couples is less than 15%. The national average for hetrosexual, Christian couples is 50%+.
I think that says it all.

As long as there is love between you two,it will last very long:longer than the average straight marriages,
Friends of me got married as soon as it was available in our country.

And christian.

I wonder how many "forgiving" Christians are going to come down hard on this question. That's part of the hypocrisy of being a Christian. They preach forgiveness yet would castigate their fellow man. Hypocrites one and all. On the subject of how long a marriage will last...as long as both partners want it to I guess.

I will suggest that once gay marriages are approved throughout the US, we will see divorce rates similar to that of hetero christian couples.
