Im just wondering how many of your parents are still together since divorce is becoming so much more common. For those of you whose parents ARE still together, are they close?

My parents have been married for 49 years. They met one week (mum was 18, dad was 20) put there bands in to get married the next, eloped the next and the rest is history. Sure they get on each others nerves from time to time but the love is still there.

My parents have been married for 28 years. There love is very deep they spend so much time together!! They have hobbies that they do together(bowling) and their friends are also mostly married couples. They adore each other and love spending time with each other. I hope that I find a love like they have found!

i always thought my parents would be together forever, but my parents just got divorced in september, and my father remarried within a week.
its sad, that the divorce rate is so high.

My parents divorced when I was three years old, in 1960 (it was much less common then).
They remained good friends until my father died in 1984.

No, well I'm 51, so my dad has been deceased for quite some time, but they were in the process when he died.(long story).
I am divorced, my brother is divorced.....sad, the rate of divorce.
