Cheney is going to be called as testify in the Libby trial.

When I read this, I couldn't resist the hope that they do to him exactly what they did to Clinton.... remember. Clinton was caught 'twisting' the truth while under oath.

The thing is that he twisted the truth after being forced to answer a question having nothing to do with the case he was on the stand testifying about.

Should this be payback?

Although that would be a great payback, the thought of him having sex is revolting and I can imagine I am not alone in that. Therefore I don't see anyone touching that subject. I am sure Cheney will have no qualms with twisting the truth on everything he does get asked about though.

The defense might ask him about his sex life, just to put the jury to sleep. I cannot imagine how long that would take for him to testify 3 minutes tops. But in answer to your question I would rather ask him how much money he is making off of this criminal and unjust war in Iraq. I would like to ask Bush that question also.

Totally different. Clinton originally was called to testify in the Paula Jones matter, and in that matter his behavior with Monica was being used as corroborating evidence of Clinton's conduct. Consequently, he lied under oath in court in that matter, and his lying continued for some time until he finally came forward at the advisement of his attorney. To my knowledge, Cheneys sex life has not been the subject of any investigation, and therefore I see no relevance. To bring up something like this would be unethical and against the rules of the court, if not illegal.

No, Clinton was caught LYING under oath. Calling it "twisting the truth" makes liberals feel better about lying, but lying is still what it is.

Unfortunately for you and him, what Clinton lied about was directly related to what he had been sued for, so your argument goes into the liberal dustbin. Asking Cheney about his sex life would be churlish and immature... in a word, liberal.

The whole CIA lawsuit is a bogus setup from start to finish, anyway. You knew that, though.

You have a beef against him ?

1. Do you realize how frustrating and shameful it is to be the father of a lesbian daughter?

2. Do you realize how shameful it is to be defeated so pathetically in the polls (Nov/2006)?

3. Do you realize, how shameful it is to have his first name carry the true meaning of his character?

Let's remember him as a republican who failed to raise his daughter properly. And let's remember that the tough exterior he has is probably to sheild his shame for his lesbian daughter.

President Clinton lied to a federal grand jury. He lied about whether or not he committed perjury in a civil deposition and about the extent of his relationship with a subordinate government employee.

President Clinton lied in a civil deposition in order to defeat a civil rights suit in which he was a defendant. He attempted to mislead the plaintiff's attorneys, relying on contrived cover stories and embracing false repetitions of "I don't recall."
He clearly did.

President Clinton obstructed justice by encouraging others to lie in judicial proceedings. He sought to influence the testimony of a potentially adverse witness with job assistance, and he attempted to conceal evidence that was under subpoena.

Finally, in constructing this cover-up, President Clinton used the power of his office to mislead, impede and obstruct a federal grand jury, a civil deposition, and the American people. He used government resources, including government attorneys and staff to disseminate his deceitful story to the public and to the grand jury.

If they want to ask VP Cheney about his sex life, I think he should answer, and give it to them with both barrels - pun intended.
