The chart says I'm a 9 size but when I try them they're too small but 10 fits.

ALL SHOE SIZING charts say I'm a 9. What's the deal?

I have the same issue. It depends on the brand of shoes and how your feet are shaped.

Some shoes are made very narrow. So if you're feet are a little wider than normal, you may need to go up 1/2 a size.

There's nothing wrong with your feet ... it's the shoe industry. There are no standards. If you look at a woman who has over 50 pairs of shoes in her closet, you will see that there are no shoes that have the same size.

I'd like to blame that on the fashion industry. Each brand of shoes is sized slightly differently. For example, I wear a nine in Sketcher's, a ten in Adidas, and I've gone as small as an eight and a half in no name Payless shoes. If a ten usually fits, I'd go with that and forget the size nine.

Perhaps you have wider feet. Most of the shoes are of Medium or "D" width. If you are have wide or "E" feet size then you'll have to wear one size larger shoes. Try the following website to measure your feet. Its measurement is based on "Medium" width. If this says 9 and you actually have to wear 10, this means you have wide feet:

That happens with clothes also. When I go to Rainbow they have pants my size but when I try them on they won't fit. It's simply because they cut it a certain way. And when you try on shoes same thing happens. So just buy tens and not nines. Or you could be a nine wide.(9w)

Shoe companies are making and numbering it for medium width foot. It also depends on company to company what standard they have used. probably you have a wider foot than medium one so you have to go for higher size.
