You can wait until college to take it, but it will probably be easier to take in HS. Take this into consideration, your degree may not even require you to take calculus. Find out what the math requirements are for your degree of choice to be certain. Alos, just because you take it in high school, doesn't mean you don't have to take it again in college. if it is an AP course, and you score the appropriate score on the test you can CLEP it and not have to take it in college. You certainly don't need it to get into college.

i could strongly recommend which you're taking it now, so which you would be able to get it over with. Taking it now has many advantages because you may get college credit and not ought to pay the educational for it in a while in college. as properly, whilst faculties pass to verify your transcript and notice that your taking a sophisticated type, you get a greater suitable possibility at acceptance. ninety 9% of the time, a school will settle for the youngster who gets B's in stepped forward instructions than the youngster who gets A's in frequent instructions. As an extra notice, because you're going interior the scientific field, data would additionally be a call for!

I didn't even take it in college. I tested into "pre-calc" and met my math requirements with that and Statistics. If you plan on having some kind of math-related major, it might be a good idea to take it in high school and be one step ahead when you get to college. If you can do it, I say, why not?

Depends on the college. Take it in high school!!!!! College level courses are taught at a different pace, and college faculty do not hold students hands or hold up the class for unprepared/confused students.

No, it's optional. You don't even have to take it in college. I didn't take calculus in undergrad. There were other courses to fulfill the math requirement. I took Logic instead.
