Sleepless in Seattle, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, The Notebook, Shall we Dance, The Titanic, Save the Last Dance, Pretty Woman, Hitch, Just Like Heaven, Dirty Dancing, 13 Going on 30, Moulin Rouge, Lake House, Phantom of the Opera, Ever After, Sweet Home Alabama, and Romeo and Juliet.
All of these are fantastic movies. I loved 'em.

Go old school. Sometimes the old black and white stuff is better than anything made in the last 20 years.
If you want a girl's rule kind of movie try "The Women"
"Father of the Bride" is a good comedy (even the newer ones)
"Little Women" with Katherine Hepburn
"Breakfast at Tiffany's"
These are all some really good chick flicks from a time long forgotten.

I just saw The Holiday over the weekend, great chick flick. As far as renting one goes, The Notebook is an all time favorite. Makes me cry every time. Otherwise, for a younger crowd I'm still fond of 10 Things I Hate About You with Julia Stiles.
