The typical dosage is 3-4 capsules three times per day. Most moms find that it does give them a pretty good boost. Remember that supply and demand is still key.....the herbs won't help if you aren't nursing/pumping often enough. More nursing/pumping sessions are more effective than longer nursing/pumping sessions. If you don't see an increase within a few days, consider taking a higher dosage or combining Blessed Thistle with the Fenugreek.

I can't give exact numbers because I wasn't pumping! I can however give you an example: One day I was fed up cause baby was hungry (I had little to no milk), called lactation consultant and was adviced fenugreek and how much. The very next day I could feel let down so much quicker. Baby wasn't completely satisfied, but was getting enough to go to sleep! After a week I was engorged. Baby was 4 mo. at the time. Also, if you are thinking by numbers, you are not able to pump as much as baby is able to eat. Pumping just helps, but cannot accomplish the same sucking maneuver as baby's mouth!!

I really couldn't quantify, but I can tell you that it never did seem to live up to my hopes/expectations when taken alone. When I used it in combination with "Blessed Thistle" (another herb recommended to boost supply) I saw a bigger difference. Good luck.

It really increases the amount signifincantly. BUT it is also up to you and the baby to keep it going.
