Alice Cooper-Poison, what a song!
Rainbow-Since You've been gone
Bon Jovi any of their tracks
Queen
T Rex
Rolling Stones-Paint it Black
Guns n Roses
Ozzy Osborne-Crazy Train
Kiss
I like older rock music from the 70's and 80's really. These days I prefer Indie stuff like the fratellis, the zutons, the white stripes, Paolo Nutini. I like I believe in a thing called love by the darkness too

Rock and Metal was at its peak in the seventies and eighties when it was genuine. Nowadays the bands are corporate creations just like any other MTV band without the depth and love of the music you could sense in the old bands.
So my favourites are;
Black Sabbath ( they put the heavy in heavy metal)
Led Zeppelin
Motorhead
Iron Maiden
Slayer ( up until south of heaven)
Megadeth
Anthrax
Venom ( made spinal tap seem like serious muso's)
Nuclear Assault ( whatever happened to them?)
AC/DC ( with Bon Scott of course)
Voivod
Not all metal bands were good, some were embarrassingly bad with all that spandex and hair spray, here are a few of the worst rock bands:
WASP ( his codpiece exploded Ha Ha, what a tw*t)
Poison ( serious make-up issues)
Saxon
David Lee Roth
Faster Pussycat ( where do they get these names)
Skid Row

Ok well obviously The Who, Metallica & AC/DC but i'm sure you know all the classics already.

Queens of the Stone Age are amazing, in all their forms (kyuss, eagles of death metal etc)

If you're open to emo - try Funeral for a Friend and My Chemical Romance

Irish rock - The Frames. Tame enough but still good. Motley Crue are the best Glam.
