If this is from a Filipino/Tagalog text, the literal meaning is "weak wave". But it depends on the context that it came from. If it had "mga" before the word "mahinang" it's plural, so it would be "weak waves". If the word "ang" was before it, then it's singular so it's "weak wave".
And if it was coming from literature and it might be an analogy or a symbol, thereby changing the entire meaning. :) What's the context it was in?

Sounds like Tagalog, or some other dialect of the Philippines.
'Alon' means 'wave' but I was unable to find a translation for 'mahinang'... maybe someone else will speak the language better than I and be able to answer (I know only a few words of Tagalog and a few words of Bisayan, another dialect, and I don't have my dictionary handy.)

It means a weak wave. Mahina means weak or it could also mean without force/strength. Alon is wave.

Check your spelling.
if it is "machining alon", it would be machining a new aluminum metal product.
