I have been given a gift certificate for a massage at a place where you can either request a male or female masseuse. Never having gone for a massage I was wondering if the guys who have had massage prefer a male or femal masseuse.

OMG! I hate this menatlity. I am a massage therapist and I don't care if I am working on a male or female body. It is just tissue to me. I am there to do a job. You are making it sexual, and it isn't.

It depends what you want. A nice relaxing massage? Go for a women, a man would make you feel way too uncomfortable no matter how good of a masseur he is. Have some muscle pains that need a more deeper therapeutic massage? Go for a guy, unless you can find a woman that's strong enough. Neither will be all that appealing but a strong hand will help get the kinks out better.

Personally, I would feel awkward with a male. But a man "might" be able to have a firmer touch/use more pressure and thus give you a better massage. Ask people at the place which masseuse most men use!

Well Steve, If it is a guy, don't ask for the happy ending.

A legitimate masseuse would not make any difference. If it is your first, then go for the woman. If you really liked getting a deep tissue massage, then you may want a male.
If your married or have a jealous girl friend, you might want to consider a male.

Just a point about language: "masseuses" are ALL female. Male massage therapists are "masseurs". Just like "blondes" are girls and "blonds" are boys.
