I have a 2000 Infiniti I30 and the headlight covers are starting to turn yellow because of age. My friend said there's a technique called sanding where that yellow residue can be erased. I've never heard of that and don't know if it works. Do you have any ideas on how to get rid of that? I don't want to spend $450 to replace them.

Permatex makes the product. I never have used it myself, so I can't state how it works. See the attached link for info on it.
