I don't watch tv shows till they're cancelled usually because I can't stand commercials. So I've never seen it. Can someone summarize it and tell me if it's credible and if the last episode is satisfying in that it answers any questions raised in earlier episodes? Are the DVDs worth the money?

Roswell is EXCELLENT- we had it on paytv, I've not got paytv now so i've missed the last 2 seasons, but it is ADDICTIVE and VERY clever...you'll enjoy it if you like those kinds of shows...DVD's WORTH it-no ads, no waiting......

I live in Roswell NM, so I'm biased. I also graduated from Roswell High School and went to school with no aliens I know of. Keeping in mind the whole thing is a TV show, it's pretty good. However, it's nothing like the real Roswell, which is a small town of 40,000 that exploits the UFO thing as much as possible for the tourists every July. Roswell is a sci-fi series created by Jason Katims. The series ran between October 1999 and May 2002. Described by one reviewer as "a star-crossed teen-age love story with an otherworldly twist" (Roberts, Associated Press, September 29, 1999), the series focused on teenaged aliens hiding in plain sight as humans in Roswell, New Mexico. The aliens are survivors of the 1947 UFO crash popularly known as The Roswell Incident. The love story comes into play when Max Evans (an alien), played by Jason Behr, and Liz Parker (a human), played by Shiri Appleby, fall in love.
The series pilot was based on the Roswell High young adult book series, written by Melinda Metz and published by Pocket Books. In some countries, the TV series aired under the Roswell High title.

I personally love this show. It's sci-fi so it's a stretch, but I have all three seasons disc sets and still watch them. It's about these high-school aliens who were sent to earth to be reborn so they would be safe. They go on to find out about what they are, where they come from, how many of them are there? The best part is the relationships these kids have with other people that find out the truth about them. It's written well and I think the emotional take it has is wonderful. Even my boyfriend, who hates sci-fi, will watch it!
