Unfortunately that sounds like a tumour and the only way to save the fish is to visit the vet. The tumour can lay dormant and as long as it is not affecting the fish may be best left alone. An operation, if you can find a vet that deals with fish, can kill the fish. It would have to be sedated and may not come around. Just keep him happy.

to determine that fish to be waiting to spawn their ordinary existence standards would desire to first be met. this could be: ideal water parameters (no ammonia, no nitrites, no extreme pH/hardness), ideal temps, ideal weight-help plan. it particularly is impossible to realize in a bowl. maximum in all possibility one fish is purely bullying the different one by using fact of loss of area. The lump is in all possibility an contaminated wound. additionally goldfish are no longer mature until a minimum of three.5-4 inches long. BTW conserving goldfish in a bowl is very such as conserving a puppy in a crate its entire existence with out ever letting it out, or conserving slightly one in a closet. wish that enables.

What does it look like? Sounds to me like a tumor.

Goldfish are egg laying fish. They do not get pregnant.
