Hmmm, Saving Private Ryan has a good storyline, Mississippi Burning, The Shawshank Redemption. I liked The Sixth Sense for the twist. Black Hawk Down and Platoon are cool too.

Saw is basically a rip-off of Se7en, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, but it is far superior in every way. Check it out.

Full Metal Alchemist, as far as I know, is a Japanese cartoon series and so have a look at Akira, which is a Japanese Manga Cartoon for adults and is generally regarded as the best of its kind.

Good hunting.

So, you're saying that the storyline in "The Departed", as an example, just doesn't hold a candle to "Saw" or "Full Metal Alchemist".

Wow.

Not seen it but I watch a fair amount of Anime - My favourite is Spirited Away, and if you have'nt seen it,your seriously missing out!! Th Castle of Cagliostro Pt1 and 2 are pretty good but theres plenty of Anime out there to buy at the moment!! Itall depends on what kind of story you want - I dont like films like Akira where you have women turning into giant heaving vaginas and snakes spewing from them. I just like a nice story!!

firstly, what storyline in saw?, its about a sick serial killer who tortures people, and where shown each murder/torture sequence.

aint seen full metal alchemist.

for me though, the best storyline is donnie darko, its one of the most complex i've ever seen, yet its totally flawless, and each little bit of it goes together beautifully

Other than Gladiator, Payback with Mel Gibson is one of my favorites. It was a simple story line, but it was bad ***.
