My laptop and tv both have S-Video inputs, Will I be able to watch TV on my laptop as well as display my laptop on the TV? All I really want to do is be able to watch DVDS from my laptop on my TV.

your laptop Svideo is Svideo OUT, which means yes you will be able to watch DVDs or even use your TV as one big monitor.

As far as bringing the video in, youll need something like the Dazzle or DVDExpress2 that uses your USB port to connect the Svideo IN or the composite red white yellows.
This and a program that comes with either will allow you to bring in whatever from your tv, portable dvd player vcr, etc onto your laptop screen.

Hope it helps

Yes.

You may need to tweak some of your laptop's " Display Properties " for it to offer a proper resolution.

Connect it to a TV (make sure both units are powered off) & then after powering back on verify that the TV is properly detected.
