Personally I love him. My sister thinks he's really wooden and can't act to save his life. I love all his films, Face off and Peggy Sue are cool. He did a good job with his character in Peggy Sue. What do you think of him?

I do think he is a bit wooden, not the best actor of all time but I agree with goodlykepower he makes a film entertaining. He is a bit strange but I think that adds to the film. He's different then!

I think he's a great actor.
The stillness of his face is part of what MAKES him great!
He manages to communicate emotion without all the brow twitching & lip curling... somehow you can see it all in his eyes!
He has a rare and admirable talent.

Being "strange" doesn't mean you aren't a good actor...Nick is no higher than number 3 on my list of the "Strange and Quirky"
Number one has GOT to be John Malkovich - he is AMAZING ... the fact that there is a film called "Being John Malcovich" says it all! (Superb film by the way - link to imdb pasted))
Number two - Johnny Depp - he also manages to make "Strange and Quirky" into BOX OFFICE - (check out 2nd link below)

Nick Cage is an okay actor, there are some roles that he is a great fit for and some that he just sucks. He was good in ConAir and National Treasure. He sucked in Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Sometimes I wonder if he weren't Copola's nephew if he'd be in front of the camera at all.

Just an "OK" actor - I don't find him good looking although by reading the gossip rags, a lot of people do - I agree that his acting is quite wooden. Even in "Moonstruck" which is the only movie he did that I really liked, he showed very, very little emotion.

A very talented actor, who is still at the early stage of his carer.
Thought he was good in a film called Leaving Vagas, where he played an alcoholic, and great with Travolta in Face Off, who i think is another great actor.

his natural style is "understated" and this can give an air of stiffness, but anyone that has seen the films Leaving Las Vegas, matchstick men, adaptation and Peggy Sue, can not doubt his acting ability. his oscar for leaving las vegas was one of the largest oscar winning margins in recent history (although the votes are suppossed to be secret it is common knowledge)

Yes, he's certainly dishy with those lovely blue eyes and nice smile. I generally like his movies - I thought he was brilliant in face off but he has had some really awful movies too. Even super stars have their off days I guess. Overall though I think he is a very good actor.

He's a good actor. Very convincing a lot of the time. Try - The Weatherman, Matchstick Men and Lord of War if you really want to see him acting with style.

I agree with your sister. In addition, he's getting too political. I don't want to know what an "actor's" political agenda or beliefs is. I want to be entertained not lectured to. I lump him in with hasbeens like Barbara Streisand and the rest of the Hollywood "anoyeratti".

I think Nick Cage is a boring actor and a boring human being. He must have bumped the right people in the business to get as far as a B - list actor.

i love him hes very sexy-i love peggy sue-a film which he made b4 he hit mega stardom but i have 2say i love him in face off cus he plays the good and the bad guy and u know us girls luv a bad boy!
