The average incoming student at Penn State has about a 1200 on the verbal and math portions of the SAT. My guess is that you are above average for in-state students and just below average for out of state students.
If you are a PA resident and have decent grades, you certainly have a shot at Penn State.

well it depends the new SAT is now out of 2400 and most colleges want you to be within at the most a 400-500 point range from that, i know because when it was 16 hundred an 1150 and 1200 and up were really good scores and of course anything above that, but yeah i would say 1750 is a really good score i don't know if its Penn state good buts its pretty darn good, but beware, no one is really quiet sure anymore whats good and whats not good because of the new point value, but congrats anyway on the really good score.

A 1750 on the new SAT is not exceptional. You probably would want to retake it and aim for at least a 2000.

You'll never get into college with a score like that, you need at least 1751, just kidding lol.
Good job, remember, college is for partying becuase once you graduate you get to be a slave the rest of your life.

really good. i got 8500 on my psats but i am a sophmore and since we dint cover everything yet my teacher thought it was okay meanwhile i dint
