It say that the United States do have druggies and alcoholics that need to be in rehab, just like the rest of the entire world.

It says that one person, chosen out of potentially 150 million American women, has a substance abuse issue.

Now, I'm sure that boat shows all over this great nation of ours will miss her wisdom during her appearances, but other than that, it's meaningless.

It means much, much more when a recovering alcoholic is twice elected into the most stressful job in the world, and asked to represent us.

It says that in this country we have freedom fo the individual, and that means we don't always make good choices. I personally would rather have the freedom to make my own choices and be given the opportunites that are available to me than dwell on other people's misfortunes. No one is perfect...not in America, or anywhere else in the world.

It doesn't say anything about America. That could happen to anybody. Besides, other than the pageant itself nobody payed any attention to Mrs. America until this happened. Why should we care what she does now?
