Ok for IBM 6540-02E, the problem's maybe at your flayback tube. It can also be your Inverter circuit or maybe a little connector inside the monitor didn't place well. If the Flayback's broken, then I suggest you to buy a new one.

For New Vision, maybe it cause by the inverter. why ? because the green light will not on. There's a possibility to fix this one. But same as above. I suggest you to buy a new one. Because Fixing cost didn't match with buying a new one.

Fell free to contact me ^_^

The monitor or display of a computer is the primary user interface. Monitor problems are some of the most common computer problems since the voltages inside a monitor can be as high as 10 KV. Many of the problems can be fixed yourself by simply changing the settings. Detailed instructions available at http://fixit.in/monitor.html

Do not try repair yourself! Capacitors inside a CRT monitor can hold enough voltage to cause serious shock or even death...even when not plugged in for days! If you don't know how to discharge these STAY AWAY!

Trash them, there really are no user servicable parts inside.

CRTs are really cheap these days and the cost of replacement is less thanthe cost or repair.

Additionally, monitors deal with very high voltages, and you'll likely injure yourself if you don't know what you;re doing.
