Try drinking an 8oz glass of water through a clean wash cloth. Do not sip, chug! This is an old remedy I used frequently back when I owned a bar for my patrons suffering hiccups.
Good luck ;)

Hiccups are a mild form of heartburn. I take two tums and drink a couple of glasses of water and that seems to chase them away faster.

Sugar will do the trick.
However, it doesn't need to be a spoonful.
A little pinch of sugar is enough to take care of your hiccups.

try massaging above your eyebrows put pressure on that spot, it stimulates the vagus nerve which is connected to your diaphragm and stops hiccups. You can also sit up straight and try tobreath slower.

I've had pretty good results with peppermint oil. Use the pure essential oil (it's going to burn) and stir about 4 drops into 1/2 cup of milk. It is antispasmodic.
