I really am at a loss here, apparently the government spent 110 billion for the war, who will repay the U.S. for all that money spent, what happens to the loser of the war, do they lose their oil fields and will now be controlled by U.S.? Help!

Money spent this way is not lost, by the time it goes through maybe 3 hands the government has it back through taxes

We've spent a TON of money on the Iraq war. And it's worth it. Spreading freedom in the Middle East is the only good plan I've heard of for ending international terrorism.

"The loser of the war"? That will either be the Iraqi people, or the terrorists. The US is not gonna control the oil. Maybe future oil revenue will repay us for the cost of the war. Plus I think some European nations pledged money (but not troops) to help the war.

If all we wanted was the oil, we woulda done business with Iraq (like France, Germany, Russia, and China did).

Remember, Iraq is just one battle in the war on terror. US troops are in several nations around the world (like Philippines, maybe Indonesia) trying to fight terrorism.

It took like 5 or 10 years after World War Two to make Germany and Japan free and secure again.
