I wouldn't tell you what I would have pronunced it as...
Giving a child a unique name is a wonderful thing, but it is important to remember that this is going to be your Child's (not your) name. I think it's always a good idea to consider how the name will affect your child, in short, would You feel proud to have this name yourself? How do you think the name would affect your child's chance of employment, (studies have shown that people with hard to pronounce and ethnic names are often left behind where hiring is concerned. How will other children react to your childs name, do you think he/she will be forced to endure years of teasing? Does the name have a positive meaning that the child can find pride or strength in?...etc...But in the end, it's up to you to chose the name that you feel best fit's your child, and there is no need to be pressured into leaving this name if you think it is the right choice. As for teachers, judging by the many incorrect pronunciations given here, yes, the name will be butchered and torn to pieces by teachers...it's just a teacher thing.

Well it is a given that teachers will have a hard time pronouncing it... nonetheless.. if you want it to be his name.. then name him what you want..
My name was VERY difficult to pronounce growing up.. but after a while.. within our community.. they got it. People just need time to learn the lesson... so what.. the teacher is going to hate it on the first day of school... but on the second or third ... he/she is going to get it.. .and won't have that problem anymore..
until the next year of course.
Creativity should be applauded. Don’t conform to society's stigmas of what is... acceptable.. or not acceptable for children’s names...just be prepared for the obstacles. And, explain to your child.. why you chose the name you did ( hopefully you have a reason.. so that they are equally as proud)
:)

i knew you pronounced it like that but every one always think about how someone else will react to the name think about it the only reason they react differently is because it's not a common name if every ones name was vondrasia instead of victoria then noone would know how to pronounce victoria so go with what you think is beautiful besides it's your child and anyway if you tell the teacher your child name once and they say it wrong they are doing it on purpose trust me they know how to pronounce it they just figure it's to ghetto and they rather make fun and games with it

I would say rethink it. Something else unique but easier to roll off the tongue.
There was a ABC special about names and how prospective employers hired persons based on ethnic or unique names.
The same applicant, same resume but different name, resulted with the person being called to an interview with the simpler name compared to the harder name or ethnic name.

They are going to tear it apart. You would think teachers would know better. They tear my daughter's name up. They turn skye into sky-EE (you would think they know about the silent e) and her middle name is leighana (i've heard it pronounced leg hanna by a TEACHER!!!!)

Do I know you??? I know a friend of a friend that named their daughter that after a character from I believe, the TV show "Sister, Sister" starting Tia and Tamara Lowery twins. They had a rival named that. And yes, your pronunciation is accurate!
