Ok Yes I have an S-Video output. So I just simply need an extension cable that plugs into my A/V inputs on the tv and it will work?

Simply take the S-Video cable from the computer and plug it into the S-video input of the TV. (If you have only RCA inputs to the TV you will need a S-Video to RCA adaptor-Radio Shack or similar store) For audio you will need to connect the Line Out of the computer (Speaker out will work) to the AV in of the TV. Again adaptors may be needed as most computers have 1/8" outputs and TV's use RCA connectors

If your TV does not have an AV input you can use an old VCR as a converter.

NOTE: After you hook up the cables you will probably have to enable the S-Video output in the computer. This is done in the -control panel>display>then click on the advanced button.

S video cable check
audio cable check

TV.
All depends on your TV

Svideo is alittle better quality than your regular composite red white yellow connection.
So if your tv only has one of the cable connections, that female silver thing with no svideo or no red white yellow connection..
RF Modulator is what youll be looking for

If your tv has colored connections but not s video, youll be looking for an S Video modulator

This is sending a signal from your laptop out to your TV, not the other way around.
For that youll need to buy Dazzle or the like

A lot of video cards on computers have what they call an S-Cable connection -- if yours does, you only need to get a cable, hook it to your computer ad video inputs on TV

It is about 3/8 of an inch in diameter, has a notch in one side so you can't hook it up wrong, and about 5 or 6 little connections in the center

there should be a port on the back of the laptop that kinda looks like a PS/2 port, that's actually an S-Video cable. hook that up to your TV and then get a Y splitter that goes from your headphone jack on the laptop that'll split the signal into two female RCA plugs. then you can hook up your regular RCA plugs into those jacks. Also, you will need to use your Function button on your keyboard to switch the video output to your external monitor which in this case is your TV.

Im not sure how you could output to a television unless the TV had a VGA input if it did you could just buy a Monitor Replacement Cable and run that from the Lappy to the TV. If you want to input cable to the Laptop try something like this ...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8040817&st=usb+tvtuner&type=product&id=1157068455221

It is extremely unlikely that you'll use USB!

You can only use a cable that will fit your televsion. Many televisions have VGA inputs - simply connect a VGA cable and you're away! You may also have s-video.

Take a look at your TV and see what you have!
