WHen i turn on my computer, all of the colors are almost faded. In a while, they come back to normal, actually even brighter and fuller than they did before the problem occrued. I have a new nvidia graphics card (300 dollars) if that could be a problem. This happened when i installed the graphics card, i forgot to hook the power up to the card and the colors were like this.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

This is a desktop not a laptop correct?

If it's a laptop they have a feature to save battery time, by fading the brightness and colors, and it goes to normal display once the laptop is plugged in.
It may be a energy-saving issue like this if it's your desktop as well, but it's unlikely.

when you install anything on a pc first you should ground yourself, I wear plastic gloves, one zap can ruin a hard drive or other stuff, I would take the product back, thats if you still have the receipt, and get another one. Merry Christmas
