$500 Sign-On Bonus?

I'm writing my acceptance letter to a firm, in which I've accepted there offer of employment. During the interview, the boss stated if hired I'll receive a $500 sign-on bonus. How do I reference that in my letter?

Did the offer letter from the firm mention the sign on bonus. If not, I would call the boss and ask about that.
