Do you think it was right to postpone the Liverpool V Arsenal game? Why do you think that?

Assuming that the managers would pick different teams for their FA Cup clash in January, would it be possible to play the two games on the same day?

that was a right decision to postpone the match, as the weather was really bad.

Tough one tonight as the fog was thick. On safety grounds there was no issue according to both the Police and Stadium Boss so this ones lays at the door of the referee.

At 6:15 and at 6:45 (the time of both inspections) he made the right decision, however at 7:45 the fog wasn't terrible and the game could've gone ahead at that point. Personally though I think the referee made a good option.

As for playing both games on the same day in a double header, it happens in baseball but I don't see it happening in football. Football is too physical to have a double header, even a 12:00 and a 7:45. They might play radically different sides but some players would be pencilled it for action in both.

The game will probably go ahead of the scheduled semi-final date and then they'll add a game of the semi-final (its over two legs) on the scheduled FA Cup 3rd round replay date should neither team in said semi-final has an FA Cup replay.

From what the ref said, it had to be right to postpone the game (i cant believe i'm saying this - i always disagree with refs) - if the linesman can't see the other side of the pitch properly, then they might miss an important decision which totally ruins the game.

It was a shame for paying fans (and idiots like me, who actually came home to watch a reserves game) that it had to be called off, but its got to be the right decision.

As for playing the two games on the same day or as a double header, thats probably not going to even be discussed, but its an interesting idea. I reckon both managers would probably like it, although it would be a shame for some of the younger Arsenal players like Denilson or O'Ceaureill who would have figured tonight.

Why not just have that whoever wins the FA Cup game is also deemed to be the winner of the Carling Cup.

save money on Police costs, supporters travelling costs and would also stop the managers from whinging about having to play too many games in the season

No the game should not have been postponed, and as practical as it may seem to you and me, playing the 2 games back to back would cause all sorts of up roar. some idiot somewhere would object on PC grounds, that it wasn't fair to the supporters wives, or pets or some stupid health and safety ruling to have fans there for 3 hours.

Right decision it’s a real pea soup. As for the next part of your question, some logic there but it will never happen.

they should have defiantly post poned the game The second game is not going to give you the same football that the first game would because they would be fatigued
