I have an hp deskjet 5150. I'm getting no response from it. I've unplugged things plugged them back in. Checked the paper. I have taked the ink in and out. I've shut the lid out a million times. I'm lost. When i try to print my screen says connecting to printer..then it says jobs stopped. But doesn't tell me why. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Need quite a bit more info to troubleshoot this but here's something you can try:

a) Press & hold the power button
b) While holding the power button, press the paper feed button once then let go of both buttons.
c) Try pressing the paper feed button 2 & 4 times if the above doesnt work (also holding the power button)
d) This triggers a firmware test to print something - config page or something.
e) If this prints, then it means your printer & inks are working.
f) Then it simply means that your pc-connection is not working properly. So you need to re-install the driver. Uninstall what you have and reinstall it with the latest hp driver from their support website.
g) If it doesnt print or do anything, then it means your hardware is toast (or cartridges are empty).

Go to control, click on printer. Find out if the printer you are connected to is your default. If not, find printer. Click on the printer type you are connected to. Check if there are previous jobs are spooled. Delete previous jobs. This may take time.
Try again.

Maybe someone has changed your printer settings, and all you have to do is put them the way they were.
