The dogs used for pulling sleds are bred for strength, endurance and most importantly, a strong pack sense.

Without the pack sense, and the eagerness both to work together as a team and follow the dictates of a single leader, they would not be able to effectively pull a sled, as each of them would be pulling in random directions.

Foxes, being at best semi-social, do not have that pack mentality, and would not be well suited to the harness. It would be most like trying to hitch cats up to a sled. No matter how many cats you hook up, it's not likely you'll be going anywhere.

Good luck with that. I doubt any numbers of foxes will work together to pull a dog sled. You could make a smaller lighter sled, hook it to a single fox and call it a fox sled. Then report back to us on the results.

I think maybe a 100 or more because a fox is only around maybe 30lbs and they are more based on swiftness and agility not strength

I'd imagine that it would take the same amount of dogs you would have used. Between 8-12.
