Full of nasty viruses and spy ware, and no, there are no virus free file sharing programs. Whenever you share files, it is a high risk activity.

If you want as low risk as possible for downloading music, you will need to go the legal route. Pay for the music. There are sites you can legally download music that are not all that expensive. They are nice when you may only like a song or two on a CD and don't want to buy the whole CD for the songs.

Yahoo has a music subscription plan that is reasonable and you can try a free trial:

Limewire is a P2P record sharing website. Limewire connects your computing gadget with the single(s) you're downloading from, or importing to. In different words they community your computing gadget with all others that are signed in. execs - you get music and courses for loose. (possibly not such an excellent theory) Cons - you do not understand who you're downloading from, no matter if or not they have a scourge or not. you do not understand in the experience that they renamed a record, so that you get some thing you probably did not choose. i will't say do not use Limewire, yet i will say, you've a good probability of having more beneficial than you bargained for. in case you do use it, be confident you've your antivirus up as a lot as now, and use a truly cautioned antivirus application.

well a big pro is its free ... downside is you have to be careful before you open youre downloaded files that you scan with a good anti virus first .
upgrading it , does increase speed of downloads and depth of searches , but ive been using the free version for a year now with no problems ... there are a lot of peops that have used limewire and contracted virus's, but were they careful enough ?.!! .. i think not!
also free.... you should look into bit torrents, too ..
www.azureus.com for your torrent handler ( downloads the file that enables you to download your specific files) and for searching torrents ( type in your search after downloading azureus ) , try www.torrentspy.com.. or www.isohunt.com
good luck ... if you need more info just search for bit torrents on any search engine .
Have fun !

Good day. Limewire is great for downloading music. The bad about it is that if yur computer is slow etc, it will suck memory and cause yur comp to slow down or even stick. Viruses can pass through also if u are downloading software. I suggest limewire as a last resort for rare files. Try ares:

I've been using limewire for a couple years now and I haven't had any problems, I use to have kazaa, imesh, pilot and morpheous but all of them messed my computer up in a way except lime wire so I don't think there is a free program that's pop up and virus free in less you purchase limewire, it'll help, money talks.

DO NOT use Limewire, it is FULL of VIRUSES.

I used Limewire for only a week and I had so many viruses that I had to pay £30 to get my PC cleaned.

USE the one below, it is 100% safe,no viruses, I have been using it for a month now and i have had none. The programme is called Ares Galaxy.

People do talk some crap about Limewire.

The main use is for downloading music. if you're careful about what you download, then there won't be any problems. Scan everything you download with AVG.

.mp3 cannot carry a virus,

Get it through your head, nothing's for free, there's always a price to pay, one way or another.
