I like smart, fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful, and visually interesting tv, and since it was recommended, I haven't been able to find it being re-run on any stations. I hate to spend the money on the DVD set if I'm not sure I'll like it...

You certainly have to be into it, but if you are, go for it (I never got into it, but that doesn't mean much; it just never grabbed me)

Sounds to me like "Firefly" would have all your boxes ticked....
It's getting satellite airings, just watch out for them.
Did You go see the Movie,"Serenity"? I hadn't heard of the series before the movie (the series hasn't aired on terrestrial TV in the UK yet),and was then intrigued enough to buy the DVD set afterwards-I couldn't figure why this series didn't make it to another season..The Movie was designed to complete some of the story begun in the series that never got finished. The network was blamed for airing the TV series out of sequence, putting sports in it's slot, and rescheduling at short notice...They passed on the Pilot episode (shown much later),and had another episode created to replace it which didn't match anything from the pilot's trailers that had been shown, then cancelled the series with 3 episodes left to run...The DVD's have all episodes in viewing order so it should make sense as compared to the TV airing.
if You're not a user of netflix or whatever DVD rental program,I'd recommend buying the box set.In the unlikely event You don't like it,You'd probably make Your money back selling it on ebay..

Megan Wants a Millionaire is officially cancelled. I Love Money 3's future is still currently up in the air but most likely they will choose not to run it. It has been rumored that he said he won I Love Money 3, so that would be the reason that they would choose not to air it. In case you were wondering, I have heard that TJ, The Vodka King, was the winner. Can't say that for sure but that is what I have been hearing.

It ran one season, and last year, the movie about Firefly called Serenity, came out. It was good also. Not sure why it didn't make it. SOmetimes, on weekdays, the Sci-Fi channel will run all the shows back to back.

Firefly was a great series. The cast were fantastic
They also made a great Movie called Serenity.
If you are a SiFi fan go for it .... one of the best action series I've seen. Real cool...I highly recommend it all. PS I wish they would make a new series for TV.

Sci Fi has it in it's daily block of programming rotations. Just look at the tv schedule on the sci fi channel site and click through the weekdays... but they might only run a block of them one day out of the month.

They ran a block on the 12th of this month... doesn't look like they have any in January (assuming they don't make any further changes to the schedule).

My daughter's boyfriend is into this like a religion. He LOVES it and watches the DVD constantly. He has whole Firefly days when he does nothing but watch that. I'd say you might find it worth the money.

I loved the series. I haven't seen reruns but once or twice on the Sci-Fi channel, but you can buy the whole season on DVD and sell them back later.

It's really good. You should try Netflix or try it out at your local video store if you aren't sure if you will like it, but if you have any taste at all you'll love it :)
