Sensory neurons are the ones that detects external stimulus (every sensation) and transduces them into electrical signals. Motor neurons order the muscle cells to contract by chemical signals. You can imagine then where are they...

Sensory neurons carry impules TO the brain. Motor neurons carry neural impulses FROM the brain to the skeletal muscles.
