What an awesome question! I was fortunate enough to be able to do this. I was very close to my dad and was able to tell him what his love did to help me become the person that I am today. At first, I thought of his terminal illness as a curse, then I found it to be a Blessing.

Terminal illnesses not only give you time to prepare, it gives you time to leave nothing left unsaid.

Ever sense I was little I searched for positive people to emulate and thru the years I've found quite a few. Just recently someone thanked me for being the positive influence in there life. Wow, what goes around really does come around!! That made my day!!!

No I haven't...and here's why. I have a hate for that person. I worked with a miserable person for years...the guy was smart and knew his stuff....but he was always in your face saying crap. I had to improve myself if I wanted to be able to reverse the table on this guy....he made me work harder and smarter. I'm now the boss and he works for me....I've also learnt not to be in peoples face all the time. He had a positive impact in my life by him being negative...I had a goal to become better than him. But in a silly way I respect the guy...if it weren't for his ways ...I wouldn't know what I do today.

I have. I haven't grown up going to church. And I started going out with this guy and going to church. And his youth pastor made a huge impact in my life. And he made me want to become a christian for the very first time. And then I had decided that I wan't to be baptised and I told his youth pastor and then he decided that he was going to move away. And with everything in my life and him so busy with his, and me wanting my family to be there. I didn't get to be baptised before he had moved. And that has been a year to this day. And I still haven't been baptised.

No one has made a positive impact on my life. And if there is someone who has, he/she is out of my knowledge area. It's probably someone who I don't interact with and who watches me from afar, because anyone who knows me personally wouldn't WANT to help me.
