Have to speak to some friends about the importance of having well maintained hands,(moisturized at all times and stuff like that) but I also know somewhere out there someone knows what your hands appearance can say about you.

I always look at a man's hands before I start to date them seriously. If they are too soft I won't date him because I feel that it means he isn't very handy (no pun intended) around the house. For me, a man has to have some callousses, but I don't like their fingernails to be all banged up...that just means they TRY to be handy but aren't. I'd only date a guy with soft hands if I knew he was really smart and worked on computers all the time and made good money (not that money matters, but if you aren't handy around the house, we need to be able to afford repairmen). And a man has to have MANLY hands. I don't like men with dainty girl hands. And they have to be well groomed. Work hard, but at the end of the day get that freakin' dirt out from under your fingernails. If we get frisky I don't want your dirty fingers in my delicate area.

Fingernails tell a lot about the person. If they are not clean, then the person is not so keen on their hygien. If the fingertips look like they were "eaten", then that person has the habit of biting their nail, and this would mean that they have moments when they are so nervous and take it out on their fingers. Fingers cut so nice and well taken care off (polished and trimmed) indicates a stylish female. Dry hands may belong to someone who does lots of manual labour (or washes up the dishes!).

how much or, little one has worked at manual labor. I have been a mover for 23 years and, though I use lotion regularly, they still have the look and, feel of leather. the palms and, backs of the fingers are so callous ridden, that I have had to have My wedding band re-sized twice.

It can show how industrious one is. It can also show your sensuality. Long slender hands demonstrate sensuousness, short chubby hands -a caring and nurturing nature.
