OK, my first question and almost always on the dot is: Are you about to start your period? It is completely normal to get overwhelmed and have uncontrolled emotions 1-2 weeks before your period. It does not mean you are bi polar!! Why does everyone want to add that in the mix these days? PMS is bigger and easier to point out!

You could be suffering from depression. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain, so you don't have to actually be sad about something to be depressed. I suffered from depression a few years ago and it came on me suddenly. You could start to lose all of your energy, and interest in things. You could also be suffering from bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is usually characterized by strange and sudden mood swings from elation to depression. Most often, a person with manic-depression experiences moods that shift from high to low and back again in varying degrees of severity.

Being depressed or having mood swings is a normal part of life. Usually people may experience this for a few day and things will get back to normal.
However, if this lasts for more than 2 or 3 weeks you should get it seen about.

You might not seem that you have anything to be depressed about, but that's what's strange about depression. You don't always have something to make you depressed. It could be stress (if you have a stressful job, a multiple number of things going on at home, or not enough sleep) related or just a simple thing as a chemical imbalance in your brain that needs to be fixed with medicine or even over time. I think that I would go to the doctor or either talk to my husband about it and see what his opinion would be with this depression. I hope that this helps.

I do the same thing. It's just a mind set. I have learned to control my mind and what my mind thinks about. For years I have let my mind roam and think whatever it wanted to. But now, I'm tired of being depressed so I wanted to find out about what's going wrong with me. There's a book you should get, it's called 'Battlefield of the Mind' by Joyce Meyer. Joyce Meyer is a minister and she went through so many things in her life, and she describes them in the book. You may not be religious but this book is so good, that I wish everyone in the world could read it. It really opens your eyes about yourself and things you've never been able to figure out about yourself. Just keep telling reminding yourself about your great life, and stop your mind from going into that depressed state. When you start to think about something that makes you depressed, snap yourself out of it and think about something funny your kids did or something sweet your husband did. I hope this helped you! Good Luck!

Normal without a cause? I'd think the answer would be obvious. There'd either have to be something on your subconcious or you have a chemical imbalance. Go to your local physician.
